For readers looking for something a little unusual for the holidays,
this has been a family favorite for many years.
Holiday Salad
Qty Measurement Preparation Ingredient

1 Cup Miracle Whip S.Dressing
2 Cans Tomato Soup
11 oz Cream Cheese
1 pkg Unflavored Gelatin
1 16 oz can Le Seur Green Peas
4 Chopped Green Onions
2 T. Vinegar
1 CUP CHOPPED CELERY
3/4 CUP WATER
Heat soup and cheese slowly until cheese is dissolved. Cool.
Add gelatin to the 3/4 Cup water, mix well, then add celery, peas, onions
and vinegar. Mix thoroughly with the soup and cheese mixture and then add
Miracle Whip and stir until color is consistent. Pour into serving
dish and chill overnight.
Some hints, heat the cream cheese in the microwave until very soft, then
stir in the soup until well blended. Mix the rest of the ingredients
quickly because the gelatin will set. This will fit nicely in a square 10
by 10 or 12 by 12 inch dish. Other veggies can be added, but cut down
on the peas if adding others. I've used canned corn and/or canned
carrots and chopped green pepper.
